Prepare endpoints
Copy primary and backup stratum URLs from the mining pool account or documentation.
Plan and apply pool configuration changes with BTC Tools using validated URLs, worker names, backup targets and a small test group.
Workflow
BTC Tools can apply pool and worker settings to all or selected supported miners. The critical controls are correct pool syntax, correct worker ownership, and a narrowly selected device group.
Copy primary and backup stratum URLs from the mining pool account or documentation.
Use the account and worker separator expected by the selected pool.
Select a test group that matches the intended owner, rack, model, and firmware.
After the change, compare miner status with pool-side worker activity and timestamps.
Checklist
Never use a farm-wide batch to discover whether a pool value was typed correctly.
Operations
Field meaning can vary by pool and firmware, so source account values from the pool in use.
| Area | What to check | BTC Tools workflow |
|---|---|---|
| Primary pool URL | Exact stratum endpoint and port | Test reachability and account format. |
| Backup pool URL | Fallback endpoint | Avoid duplicating an invalid primary value. |
| Worker name | Account plus device identifier | Map the identifier to farm records. |
| Password | Pool-specific value | Use the value documented by the pool. |
| Target miners | Reviewed selected group | Confirm count and ownership before applying. |
| Validation | Local status plus pool dashboard | Allow for reporting delay and compare timestamps. |
Setup
Keep the previous pool values, apply the prepared configuration to a small group, confirm accepted work, and retain an exception list for any miner that did not update cleanly.
